Catching the light – Aurora Borealis

Due to the location of Svalbard in the high Arctic, the conditions are ideal for spotting the Aurora Borealis. Our competent guides know the best places for watching this natural phenomenon from a back of a snowmobile. To warm up, we also have the chance to enjoy a hot drink in our cosy gamme.

On this trip, we will go that extra mile to give you an exclusive experience of the mystical Northern Lights. This is an “open destination” trip which means that our guide will use his/her local knowledge and experience to determine the best route and destination, to find clear skies and beautiful views, away from any disturbing artificial light pollution.

Once we leave Longyearbyen, we will drive into untouched snowy valleys searching for the magical dancing of the Aurora Borealis. On the way, we have the chance to visit our gamme, a cosy traditional Sami hut to warm up and enjoy a warm drink.

We require a minimum of 2 persons on this trip.

For this trip we offer an optional snowmobile insurance of NOK 200 which you can choose to add to your booking. In case you have an accident with your snowmobile, then you will not have to pay a deductible to cover the damages (up to NOK 6000). If you want to share a snowmobile as driver and passenger, then you only need the insurance for one person!
