Ursus MaritimusEast Coast Extreme

Embark on a unique East Coast snowmobile adventure, where we dedicate ample time to explore the untouched beauty and frozen landscapes. This extreme Arctic experience promises unforgettable moments that will linger in your memory

In the winter months, around 3000 polar bears inhabit Svalbard, but spotting these majestic creatures is no easy feat. The best chance to witness them is on the East Coast of Spitsbergen. Our journey eastward takes us through one of Svalbard’s largest valleys and across a glacier plateau. Pausing at the glacier summit, we’ll enjoy a breathtaking view of Barents and Edgeøya.

Upon reaching the East Coast after a substantial ride, we enter the realm of polar bears, demanding our vigilance. While we lack permission to actively track them, using binoculars may offer a chance to observe the King of the Arctic from a safe distance.

Immerse yourself in the profound silence and the awe-inspiring beauty of the surrounding nature. Witness the vast expanse of sea ice and colossal icebergs extending as far as the eye can see, with immense glacier fronts reaching into the expansive sea. This is the extraordinary landscape of Svalbard.

Distinguished by its extended duration, our journey on this trip is two hours longer than our Ursus Maritimus – King of the Arctic adventure, allowing for an extended exploration of the East Coast. This extreme excursion keeps us outdoors throughout the entire day, covering approximately 200-240km. Due to the challenging nature of the trip, we recommend participants to have some prior snowmobile experience.

I went on the Ursus Maritimus – King of the Arctic trip to the East Coast and it was one of the best things I’ve ever done!

We never experienced something similar in our lifes. It was amazing.

We did two tours with better moments and couldn‘t have picked a better company! The service was great and the guides were super nice and knowledgeable.
