✅ What You’ll Experience
🐣 The Guillemot “Jump”
Late July is the moment. From the ledges of Alkhornet, guillemot chicks take their first flight — or fall — to the sea below, accompanied by their parents. This natural drama attracts Arctic foxes and predatory birds hoping to seize a chance before the season ends.
🧭 Hike Beneath Alkhornet
After a scenic boat ride in our heated, enclosed RIB, we land on the beach at Trygghamna and take a gentle hike to the base of Alkhornet mountain. From there, we find a prime viewing spot close to the cliffs for quiet observation.

- Please note that we can never guarantee wildlife sightings. However, we operate in areas well known for their wildlife, and our experienced guides will do their best to spot animals during the trip. All animals on Svalbard roam freely. Later in the season, chances for wildlife encounters may decrease, as many species begin migrating south. In these cases, we place greater focus on Svalbard’s dramatic nature, rich history, and the beautiful light conditions of the Arctic autumn.
