Due to Svalbard’s high Arctic location, it offers ideal conditions for observing the Aurora Borealis. Our proficient snowmobile guides are well-versed in the prime locations for witnessing this natural spectacle. To enhance the enchantment of this magical experience, we include a delightful dinner in our cozy Gamme. (Please note that dinner is exclusively offered on trips starting from the 5th of February.)

 

This is an “open destination” expedition, allowing our guide to leverage their experience and local insights to determine the optimal route and destination for clear skies and stunning views. During this snowmobile adventure, we go the extra mile to provide you with an exclusive and exceptional Northern Lights experience.

We’ll depart Longyearbyen to escape the sky’s light pollution, ascending glaciers or venturing into pristine snowy valleys in pursuit of the enchanting Aurora Borealis dance. Along the journey, we’ll encounter our gamme, a traditional Sami hut, where a warming 3-course dinner awaits by the fireplace, all while staying vigilant for the appearance of the Northern Lights. Note that until the 5th of February, dinners won’t be offered, but coffee and snacks will be served.

Important information

Participants that are driving is obliged to ensure that their driver’s license is valid in Svalbard. Please contact the responsible authorities in case of any questions. The guide will control the driver’s license and will refuse participation from driving if the driver’s license is not valid in Svalbard. No refunds will be given due to an invalid driver’s license.

We require a minimum of 2 persons on this trip. Minimum age is 12 years. Contact us directly for alternatives.

For this trip we offer an optional snowmobile insurance of NOK 200 which you can choose to add to your booking. In case you have an accident with your snowmobile, then you will not have to pay a deductible to cover the damages (up to NOK 6000). If you want to share a snowmobile as driver and passenger, then you only need the insurance for one person!
