The midnight sun has won over the winter, snow is gone, and the summer is finally here. This month everything is happening all at once; Birds are hatching and also spreading their wings for the first time, flowers are blooming but also withering, and the ocean is boiling with life. It’s no time to sleep so let’s go explore.

We continue our program with Walrus safari in the morning, Wildlife tours in the evening and Ny Ålesund every Thursday and Sunday.

The snow is completely gone so we can no longer offer snowmobile tours, but this is a good month for hiking, contact us and we can put together a nice hiking expedition for you.

For a week only we give you the opportunity to observe the bird jumping in Tryghamna. This is when the Brunnich Guillemots are spreading their wings for the first time and fly out from the big bird cliff “Alkehornet” and try to reach the fjord below, without getting caught by the predators waiting for them in the gras fields below.
